Crawlers
A downloadable game for Windows
What is this?
Crawlers is an Action-RPG similar to the first Diablo. You might see that it is influenced by it in some ways.
Select one of 3 character classes and step into the darkness of the dungeons below an old church.
Is there a story?
Not really, at least not yet. There is a guy giving you a quest to kill the 'end boss' at the last level of the dungeons.
I could let ChatGPT write a story around that... but I don't plan to do that.
What is the current state of the game?
It has all the features I wanted it to have. There are new ideas here and there, some of them will find into the game (like magic, didn't decide if I want magic).
The map of the dungeons below the church are procedurally generated. There will still be changes to the system to make the dungeons look more believable. There will be more monsters and monster tiers (there are some gaps between player levels where the enemies are just too weak).
The quest system is implemented and offers 3 quests to test the system (more will follow).
Items drop with some variations, suffix system is in place too.
I am also still playing around with the graphics. I created some shaders that gives the game a more comic-like look but haven't decided if I want to go with it. There will be 2 versions at some point and I hope I will get some feedback what style is prefered.
Oh, and talking about feedback: I will need a lot of feedback for balancing the game.
I wanted Boobs, why am I here?!
itch.io decided that nipples and blood go into the 'nsfw' category. Sorry to disappoint. But since you are here..... try it? :)
